No in app sign on/ sign up buttons work, nor do they work on the main website. Ive been trying to select my seat for an upcoming flight and cannot log in to do it on the app or website, and even customer service has not contacted me back.

Everything is fine, but cannot add the Sky Pearl Card to Passbook
Adding membership card to passbook function is not working always gives network error. And its not optimized for iOS 8 and iPhone 6, save button is out of the screen if you try to modify any membership information and changes cant be made.
Long way to go to be functional.
The system is designed around Chinese telephone numbers so foreigners are unable to use their system to book tickets or confirm flights.

The app does not allow for international payment. How can you be a international airline and not allow foreign credit card payment. Crazy. The system fails on every attempt to pay.

I downloaded the app a couple of hours before my flight. I wanted to check in online and check my flight status. The flight time displayed as actual takeoff was much later than scheduled; thinking it was delayed. I had a hard time trying to check in as well. I crossed checked the info online on a laptop but it displayed no data and was hard to check in as well. I showed up to the airport a bit too late for the scheduled time and with enough time for the "delayed" flight. I ended up missing my flight due to the gate border closing according to the scheduled time. I also have to wait a day later for flights. It shows I shouldnt rely on technology but this app accuracy needs much improvement at least.
This app is useless for checking in and does not work. The form for checking in was designed very sloppy, with the last name field being immediately beside the description, so it is hard to read. The phone number field has a specified format, for which they dont tell you, so it requires guessing to try and get. Lastly, the app wont pull up the booking and returns an error message, rendering the check in completely useless. I then tried going to the China southern website to check in on my iPhone, but it looks like they use flash in the page and this page returns an input error. Flying in general is frustrating enough, but having to deal with this is too annoying to be bothered with. I will avoid ever flying on this airline again, simply because of this. Get your business in order China Southern, every other airline, large or small is capable of online check ins.
China Southern Airlines is a major Chinese airline with service to many International destinations. So why is it they cant seem to develop a website or app that can actually be useful on a Windows based machine or has iPhone compatibility? Their website requires flash player its of no use to iOS users. Ok, so I go to their website using my Windows machine. Nope, it doesnt work on the laptop either. Look, they have an app, after downloading the app it looks like something my 12 year old daughter would develop but worse and is also of no use. So I called the airline directly to book a flight, what? I am referred to a travel agency to make the booking. The person on the phone was kind enough to give me the number to dynasty travel of the LA area. Great, they can book the flight for me. Oh wait, they cant process my American credit card (Visa) and ask that I send them a copy of my passport, drivers license, and front and back of my credit card via fax. Ok, this is strange and goes against everything Ive ever learned about financial and cyber security. Finally after 5 faxes (the faxes came out to dark and not legible.) I was issued a ticket but my Sky Team Sky miles number was not added to the reservation and I was not issued a seat assignment. I go back to the webpage with my e-ticket number. Nope, cant access my reservation. Ok, lets try the app. Nope, still no luck. A phone number? Nope only two 4 digit numbers separated by a hyphen, no country code or prefix. At this point I know my credit card was charged but have no way to select a seat or check in for my flight. Hopefully I actually have a ticket...... I will be going to the airport tomorrow in hopes I actually am able to board an aircraft. For being a major airline they really need to get it together with their webpage, app, and a credit processing. I just hope their aircraft has better technical capability then their website and app. I dont write many reviews but this app is a total waste of time. Hopefully the airline is better then their software capabilities. Maybe they should hire my 12 year old to run their online product development?
Downloaded the app to get flight information and it didnt even let me sign up to make an account for easier access. Waste of time and youre better off just asking around at the airport.

This is the worst airline app out there. If you are not from China is it pointless to even download. It makes you enter your mobile number to check in, but if you are a foreigner your number doesnt work.
